About

Founded in 1948, Morgana is a leading French designer and manufacturer of finned pack heat exchangers including evaporators, condensers and hot/cold coils. From our new factory north of Paris we deliver on-demand products to agro-process manufacturers and installers dedicated to the food, refrigeration and heating / ventilation segments throughout France.

REFRIGERATION

Our refrigeration units are designed for industrial and commercial use with natural and other refrigerants, and brine units using glycol water.

CONSULTANCY
  • Our sales and services engineers cover the French market to provide a customized approach to designing heat exchanger equipment.
  • On-site technical visits to measure and analyse existing equipment and understand future requirements for customer applications.
CUSTOMIZED DESIGN
  • Design equipment to match space requirements on site.
  • Performance calculations based on internal thermodynamic software tools and UNILAB software.
  • CAD design including 2D/3D files to evaluate in planning phase.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
  • Installation operations.
  • Post-installation follow-up and aftermarket services including replacement parts.
TESTING & COMMISSIONING
  • Technical reports based on PED norms including liquid penetration test, crash test, and fatigue resistance tests.
SOFTWARE
  • Our proprietary calculation and selection software helps you choose the right solution with confidence.
  • Software will be available for download in summer 2023.

TECHNOLOGIES

Designing products for use with natural refrigerants and energy efficient systems is our key process.

Morgana designs its products for the potential use of CO₂, Propane and Ammonia natural refrigerants after the sale. To accomplish this, our products can be producced in different materials as needed, choosing between copper and stainless steel.

AMMONIA (R717)

Ammonia is the most widely used natural refrigerant for large industrial applications. With a GWP of 0, Ammonia is a cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable alternative refrigerant.

CO₂ (R744)

O₂ is a naturally occurring, non-ozone-depleting refrigerant that addresses today’s concerns about the global warming potential (GWP) of common F-gases. With a GWP of 1, CO₂ is widely and effectively used in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.

PROPANE (R290)

With its excellent thermodynamic properties and a GWP of 3, Propane is an energy efficient, reliable, versatile, and cost-effective natural refrigerant.

WATER (R718)

With a GWP of 0 and relative stability in cooling capacity compared with other refrigerants, Water is an ideal natural refrigerant for heat exchanger applications.

The environmental challenges we face are the most important, the most stimulating, and require the greatest commitment from our dedicated employees. MORGANA, in collaboration with its customers, suppliers, universities and research institutions, is on the front line to win a battle that concerns everyone’s present and future, and the world that we will leave to the next generations. For several years we have been increasing the use of low-GWP gases in the production of Shell & Tube evaporators and condensers. We continue to research and develop new methods to help our customer’s units achieve high energy efficiency, to reduce their carbon footprint and eliminate emissions with high GWP.

Morgana’s new facility in Groslay, FRANCE was opened in 2021 to produce coils for HVACR applications, including natural refrigerant CO₂ evaporating coils and unit coolers, brine coolers and steam coils. Our more than 30 employees are driven by inclusion, mutual support and cooperation.
